Thinking about the retailer that you’ve been following this semester: the retailer is Walmart.
RETAIL PRICING (10 points)
Go shopping at your retailer OR visit your retailer’s website to help you answer these questions:
- Does your retailer use high/low pricing or an EDLP strategy? How can you tell (give examples)?
- What pricing techniques for increasing sales and profits (pages 356-360) do you see? Choose one of the techniques and go into detail… how are they using it and why do you think they are using it?
- Do you believe your retailer is using the best pricing strategies and tactics for its type of store? Why or why not?
