answer the questions below using “Where We Stand: Class Matters as the main source and articles to back it back

I’m working on a Political Science exercise and need support.

Social class is probably the single most important variable in society. From womb to tomb, it correlates with almost all other social characteristics of people that we can measure. Affluent expectant mothers are more likely to get prenatal care, receive current medical advice, and enjoy general health, fitness, and nutrition. Many poor and working class mothers-to-be first contact the medical profession in the last month, sometimes the last hours, of their pregnancies. The infants go home to very different situations. Poor babies are more likely to have high levels of poisonous lead in their environments and their bodies….Poverty is the fundamental cause of most of the physical, moral, and economic ills of humanity.” –Helen Keller

Think about Helen Keller’s quote above. Write an essay in which you:

a. Agree or disagree with Keller’s analysis of the prominence of social class in America and the severity of poverty nationwide.

b. Use examples from hooks’ book “Where We Stand: Class Matters” to illustrate the ways in which poverty affected her life specifically

c. Explain hooks’ analysis of how poverty experiences change based on their intersection with race.

d. Offer two policy solutions that could help us make progress in the alleviation of poverty.
